Anyone here gone through the FBI poly? What was your experience? Are you likely to be disqualified for drug use, foreign contacts?

Thanks!

Yes.No. No.

Be honest. No one gives a flying fuck.

What type of position are you applying for?

Like Kurt asked, it depends on the drug, frequency and last time used.

I think the FBI takes an extreme stance against drug use. If you have smoked weed on more than three occasions that is a big problem.

I've heard it said that the polygraph is effective at lie detection mainly because while strapped to it subjects assume evasion is not possible inducing them to voluntarily disclose misdeeds. It's an adult version of the same hoax Bunk used on the kid to get a confession for robbery in the copy machine/lie detector scene in The Wire. True?

Thanks for all the input. My drug use long ago passed the point the feds could tolerate, so this looks like a non-starter from everything I've read.

I guess this article is full of hyperbole and bullshit, according to the comments section, but it still made me laugh: http://motherboard.vice.com/read/the-fb ... -smoke-pot
