Federal Agency Meltdowns

Postby gnaruki » Sat Jan 25, 2025 6:13 am

I'm hearing from two federally employed friends that their workplaces are in utter chaos. There are people crying and taking sick days for stress. DEI-related posters, flags ( you know the type ) getting tossed in the trash, etc.

Anything trickling down to your workplace, Kurt? I know you're not federal, but is it tense there?

we get Federal money so it will trickle down slower but we will feel it cuz he sang to target places where he feels he is persecuted.
The saving grace will be stupidity and functional illiteracy. If anyone reads what I have been working on for the past 3.5 years my budget will be cut.

*sigh* We've been at DMV quality government services for a while; it's inefficient and expensive for what you get, but hey, it works! At this rate, we're going to the third-world level at warp speed; it works if any employees are there to run it. I hope Trump overlooks messing with the FAA, which could cause a catastrophic mass casualty event in a hurry.

Wasn't it Vonnegut who said something like "Everybody wants to build, nobody wants to maintain".

Read "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier Spy" by LeCarre.

A malevolent manager whose job it is to sew chaos is only constrained by another's ability to stop them. The head of Government is gonna be hard to get rid of and his Cabinet of fuck-ups exists to stop anyone from messing up his plan.
He is constrained by nothing.

Hopefully the AF1 pilots will say "we need air traffic controllers cuz we do not have an RV1"

Look at who he antagonizes and look at who he is conciliatory with anc that will show who he serves (himself first of course)

The "Rah Rah We are Patriots" guys have been misidentifying threats for so long that now they are the threat.

Trump is being Trump. Runs his mouth about a lot of shit that ends up not happening because an adult in the room tells him, yeah...no.

Relevant to my internets...His newest "FEMA has to go" bullshit.

1) FEMA did not fuck up in N.C. The state govt fucked up
N.C. which is why Donnie doesn't mention Florida, Georgia or Tennessee. Where FEMA is working.

2) He wants the States to have operational control of a disaster, but still get Fed money. Lol. I mean, if we're talking Florida that is old hat at hurricane response, sure. Ok. Back to N.C. Those rubes have like zero EM experience of this level of disaster.

3) We're back to Donnie making soundbites that almost never pan out. Wall just got 10 feet taller. Mexico will pay. Hillary in jail. Releasing JFK docs...etc..etc..

Senators Merkley and Wydendemand answers from Trump on BPA job cuts

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KATU) — U.S. Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley are pressing President Donald Trump for explanations regarding significant workforce reductions at the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), which they argue threaten the reliability of the electric grid in the Pacific Northwest.

"The imminent departure of nearly 20% of BPA’s workforce — including linemen, engineers, and power dispatchers — poses a direct and immediate threat to the reliability of the electrical grid that serves millions of American families and businesses in the Pacific Northwest," Wyden and Merkley wrote in a letter to Trump.

The senators criticized the administration's directives to buy out workers and freeze hiring, which they said resulted in the resignation of approximately 200 employees, the rescinding of 90 new job offers, and the potential layoff of up to 400 probationary employees.

They warned that these actions could force BPA into "damage control" mode, struggling to "keep the lights on."

"These cuts are not only reckless but also financially ludicrous," the senators said, emphasizing that BPA is a self-funded agency that does not rely on taxpayer dollars.

They questioned how the administration's actions align with its stated priority of strengthening U.S. energy infrastructure. The letter noted how BPA plays a critical role in the Pacific Northwest’s power grid, distributing hydropower from 31 federal dams through more than 75 percent of the region’s transmission infrastructure.

Wyden and Merkley demanded answers by Feb. 28 on several points, including the justification for the cuts, plans to address operational and safety risks, and steps to mitigate the impact on rural communities and public utilities. They also questioned the role of the Department of Government Efficiency in overseeing BPA staffing decisions.

DOGE has only claimed around $2 billion in annual savings so far, most of which appear to come from ending diversity programs or climate change programs.

"The energy security of the Pacific Northwest — and the rural communities that depend on BPA’s services — cannot be treated as an afterthought," the senators wrote, urging the administration to reconsider the cuts to avoid an energy crisis.

Now they just eliminated congestion pricing.

That is below 60th St. in Manhattan and it generates funding for my Cyber Security group.

If you have been reading my stuff for the last 4 years I said that if Trump found out about us he would cut funding because we (and others) mention Russian sponsored threat actor groups trying to hack us. ...Though he was probably too stupid to figure out that a state law approved by the Transportation Administration funded people who were making his buddies look bad (like a proper Russian asset should do) but we are gonna have cuts.

Also RFK JR. is aiming to get COVID vaccines banned.....so if you wanna risk flying in Trump skies, you will need to do that or take a bus / train / or drive to Canada or Mexico to get vaxxed.

So much for freedom of choice and states rights huh?

I cannot wait until this fucker bans Liberals from owning firearms cuz the gun nuts are gonna cheer the loss of these rights.

Under Musk’s plan to “optimize workforce” by reducing staff, the USDA fired the bird flu officials. Now there’s nobody at the helm to track this virus while farmers are having to euthanize their livestock and humans are getting sick. Should there be a bird-flu pandemic fatalities are certain. The Trump administration is on course to cull the American population, it seems.

Wait until COVID vaccine and all mRNA vaccines are banned. That will bring about some serious Human Sacrifice.

It is quite simple.

They (Trump and MAGA) hate us (people who oppose Trump and MAGA) and want us to die.

He will move to accelerate this and claim it is for things like "purification" and ridding the USA of "corruption". He is not confident enough yet to just get his flying monkeys to start killing people but he can speed the deaths along.

Lol...His AG is a red to the bone "conservative" and former AG from Florida who has done everything she can to trample the 2A.

Trump is no friend of the 2A. His track record speaks for itself.

Major bone of contention with the right.

Might want to do some research before wetting your panties and clutching your pearls.
