To find someone that has "disappeared" contact local authorities with information and email them recent photos, description. Contact the local embassy or US representative. Call the hotel she stayed in to see if she checked out or paid her bill.

Contact a local PI to retrace her routes, reservations, friends, bar etc.

EO for possible South American kidnap work? dont think so.....
even if they did still exist.

Send me the details and I can get the ball rolling
if RYP`s suggestions doesnt work, but it is a very good suggestion to start with the local authorities, you should not start the other way around by going to P.I.s directly first.

Best not to wait to long if you believe she truly was kidnapped, you dont want any trail to get to cold and the longer you wait the more important details will become sketchy to possible witness`s. Four days to a week should produce some demand by now, if it is in fact a kidnapping.

I have excellent Investigative contacts in Colombia and Panama
that will point you in the right direction for help in Aruba.

Dim

Dim, you STILL think Mr Ohara is playing with the people on this board? I think NOT! It's ALL OVER THE NEWS friend.

Always best to work on the presumption that action IS necessary until an order to 'Stand Down' is given, in these type of situations.

I pray that Natalee is just trying to find her way back to town, from the back of beyond, where a date rape drug had left her disoriented.

As RR3 stated, TIME is the most critical component of a successful outcome in this case. Weather will clear most, if not all signs/leads, and those who may have come into contact with her, could be moving on off the island.

"Now, we are going to close the case a little bit more, and I think then
we're going over to arrest people. We don't know yet. The investigation is
still going on," he said, adding that he hoped to elaborate later on Saturday.

This doesnt sound good for her.....sounds like they have some leads and suspects just getting details before filing charges. No word on rescue or recovery of her.

Aruba authorities following tips on missing Alabama teen
(CNN) -- Six days after a high school student from Alabama disappeared
on a senior trip to a Aruba, the attorney general for the Caribbean Island said
more FBI agents had been added to help in the search for the student and
efforts will be concentrated around costal areas.
Natalee Holloway, 18, from the affluent Birmingham, Ala., suburb of
Mountain Brook, was last seen early Monday morning as she was leaving a
nightclub called Carlos 'n' Charlie's in the town of Oranjestad. Witnesses said
she left in a car with three local young men about 1:30 a.m.
"We got a lot of tips coming from the whole community," Lt. Pepito
Comenencia of the Aruba Police Department told CNN Friday.
Authorities have said they talked to the three men who left with her and
the men claimed they dropped her off at her hotel about 2 a.m.
Comenencia said authorities could soon make arrests, but he did not
elaborate.
"Now, we are going to close the case a little bit more, and I think then
we're going over to arrest people. We don't know yet. The investigation is
still going on," he said, adding that he hoped to elaborate later on Saturday.
The Prime Minister of Aruba, Nelson O. Oduber, pledged Aruba's "full
support and utmost dedication" Friday in a statement concerning Holloway. "We
are shocked and completely distressed at this turn of events," he said. "We
will not tolerate any activities that harm our American friends or tarnishes
Aruba's reputation."
Holloway's mother, Beth Holloway Twitty, who flew to Aruba to help search
efforts, said about 20 to 40 of Holloway's classmates saw her leave.
Friends have also said they have pictures of her dancing with young men
at the club.
"Natalee's bags were packed and ready to go," Twitty told CNN Friday.
"Everything was packed. Her passport was in her purse - she even had the
remaining cash she had on her in her purse - it was in her room, everything was
zipped up. She was ready to go home."
"This is such a mystery. It's a mystery to Aruba, and it's a mystery to
the United States," she said.
She said she has tried to remain focused and driven during the search
because "I wanted to make sure that she would be as proud of me as I am of her
in accomplishing our one goal and that is to find Natalee."
She added, "My main concern is the safety of Natalee."
Holloway was on the trip to Aruba with about 100 Mountain Brook High
School students to celebrate their graduation from high school. Holloway is a
straight-A student and a member of the National Honor Society as well as the
school's dance team.
The family has posted a reward for any information leading to her
whereabouts.

Looks like they have 3 suspects they are watching. From what I can gather it's the three she was seen leaving Carlos n Charlie's with who claim they dropped her off at the hotel. I'll bet we have an arrest in the next 12 hours to a day or so.

Like I said

Postby Tracker » Sat Jun 04, 2005 4:56 pm

It's my opinion that she was abducted and taken off the island by unkown persons, unrelated to the three they are focusing on. It would have been relatively easy for her to be spirited away on a fishing boat, and dropped off in Venezula.

I would'nt be surprised if her hair got dyed in the process, as it's her blonde hair that is going to draw attention to her from the locals there. Everyone else is dark complected, with dark hair, either Spanish or African Islander decent.

If she is still on Aruba then it's not going to be pretty when they find her. Too much time has gone by, and the perpetrators KNOW they are in DEEP shit. I pray for natallee's sake and her family that I'm wrong all the way around.

I'm working a missing persons right here in Florida right now the past 36hours.

Tracker I agree, Venesuela is only like 25 miles away. Colombia not much further. If she is still on that island I fear she is no longer alive. With no ransom demands so far (that we know of) I am thinking that kidnapping is not her fate, unless it was for a type of slavery.

I hope for her and her familys sake she "kidnapped herself" similar to the runaway bride in Atlanta Ga. Or met some rich guy and took off on his yacht.

Aruba a DP not hardly..close to a few but it itself no.. very nice people in the Dutch West Indies. I like the islands and feel rather safe while there. Goes to show you anywhere can be a dp if the right conditions/people are present. I wish her family the best.

People go missing all the time while traveling, its nice to have family to come looking for you.

Is it me, or do only young, white, attractive girls go missing in this country? If you watch the news, it seems they're the only ones who go missing.

We were discussing that earlier today. I work for the media and we do select which of these missing we go with and those we dont. There is no real set formula though several factors play into it:

is it a domestic kidnapping possiblity>(custody battle)
who are the people in the story- can your viewer relate>
what is the humanistic part of the story>
why does this one stand out>
what is the ability to cover/are they(family) or cops talking>
is it drug related>
is there something in victims background that is suspect>

some, none or all of these get asked and then more...

Honestly if her name was Shaniqua Johnson Washington black overweight welfare mom from a public housing apt in Miami would we care? I doubt it....

I call it the "Laci Peterson" pull..
