I didn't say BC was "nice", or "people love it", or that it "rocks"; our government has stated Emphatically that we are THE BEST.

After all, our propaganda campaign is on television instead of print and we all know that TV never lies. Print is a whole different story.

It was pretty freaking dark in the winter when I lived in the UK too.

I think our film professor who likes to diss on the US in the article leaves out some of the things that make life better on a day-to-day basis:

Things like:

Quality of food
Availability of Fresh Fruit
Weather
Bar closing time
entertainment (arts, sports, television, etc)
Home ownership
Transport infrastructure

It's kind of silly ranking countries by macroeconomic statistics. Rank them by the things that matter on a day-to-day basis.

Everyone knows San Diego is a way better place to live than Buffalo, right?

Things like
Rock & Roll. Give me Bruce Springsteen over that Norwegian death metal crap anytime.
