Don't disagree with you there SRR...BC rocks.

I didn't say BC was "nice", or "people love it", or that it "rocks"; our government has stated Emphatically that we are THE BEST.

After all, our propaganda campaign is on television instead of print and we all know that TV never lies. Print is a whole different story.

The UN is wrong, America is wrong, Norway is shit. BC is THE BEST.

my city's new motto is "near nature, near perfect"... oooo-kaay.

Is BC's still "supernatural" ?

Read above. We are, without exception, THE BEST.

Near perfect, maybe, but for actual perfection you need to look north. After all, we're THE BEST.

Not like those sleazy Norwegians.

I think our film professor who likes to diss on the US in the article leaves out some of the things that make life better on a day-to-day basis:

Things like:

Quality of food
Availability of Fresh Fruit
Weather
Bar closing time
entertainment (arts, sports, television, etc)
Home ownership
Transport infrastructure

It's kind of silly ranking countries by macroeconomic statistics. Rank them by the things that matter on a day-to-day basis.

Everyone knows San Diego is a way better place to live than Buffalo, right?

Things like
Rock & Roll. Give me Bruce Springsteen over that Norwegian death metal crap anytime.

Hell, when I was at Fort Hood, it was called "The Great Place."
I mean c'mon, Elvis was stationed there. It has to be the best.
When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies? To surrender dreams - -this may be madness; to seek treasure where there is only trash. Too much sanity may be madness! But maddest of all - -to see life as it is and not as it should be.
