CBS News head re-examines "objectivity"

Postby goat balls » Mon Oct 03, 2005 2:57 pm

CBS News president Andrew Heyward, speaking at the Museum of Television and Radio in New York City (an estimable institution which received much funding from the late William Paley, founder of CBS), said "the notion of objectivity in mainstream news needs to be reexamined," according to TV Newser.

Obviously, he really means the pretense of objectivity, in other words, dropping the phony claim that no point of view is embodied in the reporting.
