I wanted to put Wisconsin in for Kurt but that would have been too many options and I would have had to eliminate a "legitimate" contender. Heh Heh

Is there a Canadian "hook'em horns" outfit that I was previously unaware of my cold weathered friend?

Is some areas down here if you yell that Texas stuff people will shoot at you.

And remember down south we are all heavily armed and often drunk.

Thanks for the consideration.

But I have not been keeping track. Best of luck to those of you who bet on this stuff (my cut is 5% for bets on the board)

SAW VARSITY'S HORNS OFF!

USC is number one. Georgia is damn scary. Look for Missouri to finish possibly in the top 10. I wouldn't be surprised if they took the Big 12 (the best conference in college football).

You gotta be kidding me. Brown is good, really good at recruiting, but he doesn't seem to be very good at putting a team together for the season.
I'd whore myself out just one more time if I knew who to screw to get out of this grind.

Whenever I play NCAA '04 or '05, I always take Army, and I own,
so why can't they ever get a real team?

I dunno snot-shit about college football or the NFL....only that my father told me that I had to root for Florida State and the Washington Redskins above any other teams or else he would roll over in his grave.
So i check the scores once a week and say "Yay...they won" or "That sucks, they lost". So aside from that, I could care less about football. I did vote for Florida state in this poll though.
Oh I did go to the Pro Bowl here back in 2001...it was fun to watch it live and all, but i just dont find it that exciting of a sport.

My Favorite sport to watch is Soccer..followed by Baseball and Hockey.
Passion is necessity. It is not diligence, or simply being committed to a goal. Passion consumes you while you chase down your goal. Passion should always be your natural state of mind for it is what sparks momentum and sets the pace.

Kurt..how can you not follow the Badgers and the Pack. NYC is getting to you man. Badgers and The Pack are two of the best outfits ever.

Tarkan...what does that mean...that Brown is a great recruiter but can't field a team? BTW...I always count on Texas to beat Oklahoma..it's very important

Tejas is right about USC and Georgia...no doubt. Carrol is a great coach and Georgia is always playing to win.

Steve...I don't know how to read the Buckeyes..they defy conventional wisdom but they are always very good and I hesitate to make wagers against them. Plus I count on them to beat the darth vader of teams...Michigan...but then the Buckeyes become a problem for me after they beat Michigan..very complex issue

Piggs...you a closet Badger man? That's sacrilege in the Chicago area man.

Dawn Dawn Dawn...it's downright un-american to pull for half ass U. They usually field the best bunch of felons in the country but they play in the patsy ACC...the daisyfield...and they try to avoid playing the Gators and Miami every year.

If any of you are interested in a true american DP, come on down to the annual Georgia - Florida game. It's such a heated rivalry that the two teams don't even travel to each others towns..they meet on the Florida Georgia border in Jacksonville. 500,000 show up for the game every year and it really is something to see, even if you are not a football fan. As big as bike week. People tailgate all around the stadium and watch the game on portable TV's and listen to the crowd while watching TV. The roar of the crowd is pretty unique.

It means that every year he has either the top recruiting class or close to it, and every year they struggle against Top 10 teams. So he's good at getting the high school talent, he just isn't good at molding them into a competitive team (competitive for the National Title).

Mac Brown will hamper his team one way or the other. When they did have a team poised to make a legitimate run at the national title, he started the largest QB controversy in a while at UT starting Simms over Applewhite. You have a proven quaterback with some of the highest QB ratings ever at UT with Ricky Williams in the backfield and Quentin Jammer running the defence. Brown looked past potentially one of the schools greatest seasons ever to prep Simms for the following year. Costly mistake. Brown also looked reeally bad when applewhite came into their bowl game and preformed superbly.

Yep, Tejas...only about six more weeks until we are once again forced to lick the rim of the toilet bowl by our Sooner masters.

Sigh...
