I do not think that "RE-elected" applies here, as he was not "elected" in the first place.

Kerry is ahead according to that map.

Even though I am Canadian and I think whoever gets in will make little difference, I hope Kerry doesn't get in just because of how cocky he has been.

He's certainly not my boy, but I know he's going to win. And if the electoral map is any indicator of who will win it looks like Kerry.

Kerry is ahead, but losing ground in several key battleground states, and Bush is going into the convention and should get a nice bounce.

Previous surveys had Kerry WINNING (ie, having enough electoral votes to win an election). He's now dropped significantly.

Kerry no longer is leading in enough states to win the election. He needs 270 electoral votes for that. Last week's poll numbers had him with that number.

He's lost significant ground, Bush has gained significant ground, and Bush is going into the convention. It's a little thing called Momentum. Bush has it, Kerry has lost it. Election goes to Bush.

Kerry does seem to be ahead by a comfortable number of EV's. I'd love to know how Tarkan has gone about rationalising those numbers to his confident prediction of a Kerry defeat.

It's still pretty close though, and a long time til November. If we look at states like Florida, Washington and Nevada it appears that Nader could still cost Kerry the election.

And take a look at DC!

I think its becoming increasingly clear that Bush will win a second term. He has something the public can't resist and Kerry sorely lacks: charisma. His first priority might be to start drinking again. Maybe wiretap the oval office, start cursing and making slurs in meetings, and then mull the tapes over at the end of the day in his darkened office, all alone with a tumbler of scotch in his hand. I predict he will top JFK and select not only Jeb for attorney general, but father George H.W. as Secretary of State.
