So your a doctor of the BFC? How do you make money off that?

The only way to make money would be to turn it into a book and then sell lots of copies (which given that academic texts are not exactly best sellers is unlikely).

Apart from that having a Phd is mainly a kudos / greater employability thing.

As i know and you know from jaegar's version, that is how it reads. what is your version for why they are banned? and should i and others not be afraid for knowing or discussing the things surrounding Dr. V and the thesis? transparency from mods would be great on this, since that will help us avoid anyone else getting banned, won't it?

The Moutain in Japan claimed to have been underpaid for editing work on vlindsay's thesis but that was not the reason for the ban. The reason now is mostly that she once asked me if I was involved in making internet pornography with vlindsay as my subject and I decided that was one of those things that was so crazy it did not warrent an answer, so then she wrote me again and said "no denial?" as if I really went to England to film academics getting nasty. So now that is personal. Its just me being a dick and nothing else. For one reason there is no way I could make pornography and not laugh while doing it. So if you ever see English academics getting their stink on in front of the camera and there is an American guy making non-cocaine snorty sounds off camera, then perhaps and just perhaps that could be me if I have fallen on really hard times.

One reason I do not answer these querstions openly is that now I have just opened myself up to page, after page of e-mails from the Nipponese Geological formation...and you know what? That irritates me. I now have to put up with at least 1 to five e-mail deletions because of this answer here.

The other one I am not at liberty to answer. Ask Vlindsay, but seeing as you made such sport of her thesis I really cannot expect you to get an answer from her and there are some things I don't discuss because they fall into the category of "someone else's thing to talk about" and this is one of them.

I do think it is fair to say it is not about the Thesis, so if you think you have discovered some magical BFC "insta-ban" powers you are really, really off.

i am logged on to facebook, but not actively checking it. you may message me there too if you like, i am a friend to all. in addition to that, i am reading news and doing other things. however it is true banned people have sent me messages there, including penta and jaegar. but i told them the same thing, that i can't verify anything they're telling me and i'm not going to fight their battles for them. my main concern is the thesis, why it hasn't been provided to forum members, and whether there were any ethical or professional conflicts. i take academic misconduct seriously, i value this forum and many of the people in it, and i do not care if people who have acted unethically are found out; and if they haven't, well then they have nothing to fear, right?

so tell me if i've correctly understood you:

1. Yes, I do. As mentioned earlier I am not formally trained in ethics. I have said many times to many people that I am unfair and , in fact, take a deal of pride in my being unfair. I have not hidden this fact, but I can not speak for other admins or moderators.

2. I did not make porn with vlindsay, post it on a website and I was not offended that she asked, I was offended that she expected me to deny this and only that would prove the crazy accusation was false.

3. Once I did ban Kamakazi mountain but not related to the thesis but related to comments made by That Which Shadows The Sun Emperor on vlindsay that should have been private. This was back in early 2011 (maybe January) and I did it more as a favor to vlindsay and perhaps I should not have done this, but as I said before I am not fair. I never have been and attempts at fairness end up being contradictory and futile so fuck it.

4. You are making sport of it. And I don't care either. You are having fun doing this and I am having fun responding or else we would be doing something else. I seem to remember a link being provided that was at least up temporarily but maybe I was mistaken.

5. Discuss it all you want. I am not going to stop any discussion or dissemination of promises either made or implied. I have not had a chance to read it yet though I hear there are some parts where I look like a total fucking chump and I don't even care. Find my chump parts.

In short, research the hell out of it if you wish....but remember I hold no copyrights and technically I cannot grant permission for you to get access to and disseminate in a manner that contradicts UK academic copyrights. It'd be best to clear this with Dr. V but I am not stopping anything from being posted on this matter.
