Sounds like detox and psych evaluation followed by rehab. Looks like a "bender" incident. Day's start melting into each other, you get no REM sleep, forget to eat, drink beer instead of whiskey for dehydration. You try and climb out of that and this is one of the possible results.

thats how i do projects for school. its possible to climb in and out and get your shit done. you just need to use the right drugs. he clearly wasnt.
