KONY 2012: State Propaganda for a New Generation
By VC |March 13th, 2012 | Category: Vigilant Reports | 405 comments
The overnight viral sensation KONY 2012 brought worldwide awareness to the African war criminal Joseph Kony. Beneath this commendable cause, lies however an elaborate agenda that is presented in the video in a very manipulative way. We’ll look at the agenda behind KONY 2012 and how it uses reverse psychology to not only justify a military operation in Africa, but to actually have people demand it.
KONY 2012 is a viral sensation that swept the entire world in less than 24 hours. Its main subject is the African rebel leader Joseph Kony, his war crimes and the clearly defined “movement” to stop him. Countless celebrities have endorsed the movement, news sources have reported it and social media is buzzing with it. While the problem of guerrilla warfare and child soldiers has plagued Africa for decades, and several documentaries have already been produced regarding the issue, this particular 29-minute video made managed to obtain mass exposure and support.
KONY 2012 is less of a documentary than it is a highly efficient infomercial that is tailor-made for the Facebook generation, using state-of-the-art marketing techniques to make its point. Young people like “underground movements” and want to feel like they are changing the world. KONY 2012 taps into these needs to bring about something that is not “hip” or “underground” at all: A military operation in Uganda. Not only that, it urges the participants of the movement to order stuff, to wear bracelets that are associated with an online profile and to record their actions in social media. This makes KONY 2012 the first artificially created movement that is fully track-able, monitor-able and quantifiable by those who engendered it. In other words, what appears to be a movement “from the people” is actually a new way for the elite to advance its agenda.
KONY 2012 Screening in Uganda Met With Anger
The screening of KONY 2012 in Northern Uganda was not met with the appraise it got in America. Quite to the contrary, Ugandans were appalled by the “Make Him Famous” campaign that gave Joseph Kony superstar status. I perfectly understand what they mean. The definition of “famous” is having a widespread reputation, usually of a favorable nature. Synonyms of “famous” are famed, notable, illustrious, celebrated, eminent, distinguished. One does not need to be a specialist in neurolinguistics to understand that the “Make Him Famous” campaign might be perceived by the brain in a perverse way. And the Ugandans are not fans of the merchandising. Also very understandable.
Facing this criticism, representatives of Invisible Children stated that KONY 2012 “was targeted to educate a younger Western audience”. In other words, the video was tailor-made to indoctrinate young gullible American and European kids (as we’ve seen in the article KONY 2012: State Propaganda for a New Generation) and no one else. Good comeback. Here’s an article from The Guardian about the screening.
Co-Founder of Invisible Children Arrested for Masturbating in Public
Jason Russell was recovering in hospital suffering from malnutrition and exhaustion, Invisible Children's chief executive said.
So the guy we saw in KONY 2012 talking to his son and interacting with African kids has allegedly vandalized cars and made sexual gestures while wearing his underwear. He was then hospitalized for “exhaustion, dehydration and malnutrition”. His unusual behavior is somewhat similar to the breakdowns that mind control victims sometimes suffer, at one point or another, especially when times get tough. As we know, terms such as “rehab”, “treatments” and “hospitalization” can be code words for “re-programming”. Is he another mind-controlled patsy that was used by the elite to communicate message? Was he set-up to be the fall guy of a campaign that got a whole lot of backlash? Can’t give a definite answer but there’s some fishiness going on there. Here’s an article from The Guardian.
The family of "Kony 2012" filmmaker Jason Russell has issued a statement on his health, explaining his recent public meltdown.
Russell's family says he was diagnosed with "brief reactive psychosis" following his naked rant on the streets of a Pacific Beach neighborhood last Thursday and will remain hospitalized for several weeks, according to TMZ.
The publication posted a portion of the statement as follows:
We would, again, like to make it clear that Jason's incident was in no way the result of drugs or alcohol in his body. The preliminary diagnosis he received is called brief reactive psychosis, an acute state brought on by extreme exhaustion, stress and dehydration. Though new to us, the doctors say this is a common experience given the great mental, emotional and physical shock his body has gone through in these last two weeks. Even for us, it's hard to understand the sudden transition from relative anonymity to worldwide attention - both raves and ridicules, in a matter of days.
Russell, who reacted wildly to the criticism of his recently released film, "will get better," says the family, adding, "He is, and will remain, under hospital care for a number of weeks; and after that, the recovery process could take months before he is fully able to step back into his role with Invisible Children."
Russell had been detained on a "5150" psychiatric hold following his fit, where he maniacally banged on the cement and cars, gesticulated sexually and cursed incoherently. His family pledges to focus on a "thorough" recovery, not a "speedy" one.

He's come out and said the handle was water and he was joking, verbatim was, "can't a guy make a joke for his friends".
I'd tell him to find a new line of business if he wants to joke about embezzlement while wasted.

I didn't take it seriously either but if I was the kind of person who could throw $1 million at a charity I would chose the one that did not make the joke video about embezzlement.
