The Lovely Ladies of PJAK

Postby elmodernisto » Tue Jul 24, 2012 9:24 pm

Folks, a few months back I took a small crew into the Quandil mountains for PJAK's birthday party and to check out some of their ferocious female fighters. Here's the home movie:

Enjoy!

That was excellent. You should send some of those lovely ladies to Afghanistan to show the Afghani women how it is done...they could use those mad skills the next time someone burns down a girls' school, poisons a well at a girls' school or any number of other atrocities perpetrated against the women there. Really interesting video. Inspired to learn a bit more about the Kurds in general.

Cool vid man, my barber is a Kurd girl. Totally agree with Svizz 1,000,000%, empower Afghan women.

Cheers M.

Excellent. I really liked their take on Islam and women's role within it. Equality rather than chattel. Makes sense to me. Others in the region could learn from these people if they tried.

No wonder they're all so threatened.
Mexican drug cartel? (funny how one never hears the term "American Drug Cartel")

Excellent piece by Vice, as always, although I failed to see any "lovely ladies." I'm sure they're there, just might have to look a little. In between firefights...maybe they can rub their eyebrow on you and keep you warm.
