The Liberal/Left/multicultralist have been leading America to ruin since the Sixties. Thats when everything, from high school test scores to ethics to morality to the work ethic, started to decline in America. Most Americans have had enough of the non-stop assualt on the traditional values, exemplified by trying to purge all mention of Christianity from the public eye. Let the gays move to Europe and Canada to marry and have legal status. And they can take a Muslim family with them. Despite what the Constitution says, America has always been, and will always be a de facto Christian Republic.

Therein lies the crux of the problem with many people in America (if not the majority). Few of them dare to venture beyond the borders of their own state much less the borders of the country. So, they not only lack eqilibrium with much of the rest of the world...but they lack any sense of connection with it at all. I think that is one thing the military offers to rural teenagers who haven't the resources to travel or go to school. It does give them the opportunity to travel outside USA borders in order to get a sense at least how other people live. It is SOOOO EASY to claim some sort of superiority over the rest of the world when all the exposure you get to it is from National Geographic Wildlife programs. However to actually get out of the barcalounger and travel to and experience the cultures of or to witness the struggles of other nations is the only way to truly get a sense of ones own place in the world. Sitting in the barcalounger only creates an unhealthy attatchment to one's remote control at best. But sitting in a longhouse in Papua New Guinea, being greeted warmly and without judgement by a buddhist in Thailand, or enjoying the hospitality of locals in Bali is a much more sensible way to begin to develop a TRUE understanding of the world. And with that comes an unconcious equilibrium at having realized that CNN and FOX news do not represent an accurate vision of the individuals around the world, many of whoom wish Americans no ill will whatsoever.
People allow themselves to be embraced in our culture of fear. It is not the sole fault of the Jihadi's or the extremists that we do not have equilibrium with the world surrounding us. It is the partial fault of our own individual selves for not having the guts to get up out of the barcalounger to take a real look around and see what is REALLY GOING ON.
Passion is necessity. It is not diligence, or simply being committed to a goal. Passion consumes you while you chase down your goal. Passion should always be your natural state of mind for it is what sparks momentum and sets the pace.
