He's not as big of a asshole as his posts suggested, he was quite personable and I'm pretty sure he was drunk and bored when he did post.
I had a good time and learned a lot. I had wrote a short story about my experience but I accidentally deleted it.
Being a former cav scout I'm not sure I would have called it a scout course, it was more about taticool car camping in potentially hostile environments. Working with firearms in and around vehicles, getting though road blocks etc, and his "gun truck" was a fucking KIA SUV. I slept in my F350 as I was too lazy to set up my tent.
There was 5 other "trainees" in the class, 2 LEO's , 2 merchant marines and Vincent Buckels who I had previously trained with at his carbine class.
If you aren't a combat arms vet or a military contractor and haven't done any training like this I could recommend it.
