If there is one thing that everyone can agree on at the BFC, its that you do an outstanding job on this website, Kurt. Thanks.

If you are using Firefox to navigate, all you have to do is press "Ctrl +" and that increases the font size.

You're on your own if you are running Internet Explorer.

Oh, and nice job Kurt.

Nice touch with the Tin foil hat café.

I disagree because this is just BFC politics.

Politics has become such a mainstay and staple they are inseperable from traveling just so long as we have borders and passports.

I recommend keeping all of the changes Kurt has made except

Movies and Entertainment: what do you do with an Anglie Jolie Sudan post that also mentions her latest film that was shot in a DP?

News: you should probably re-name this "politics"..does that mean RYP's post about the Columbian Journlism report would be put here? It has not an iota of travel mentioning. Nada. Although it does highlight the dangers of the Sunni Triangle.

Tin Hat Cafe: how qute.

Rants: you may as well thrown in a "true feelings" forum for sharing
and male bonding scenarios if you want to go all the way. Where do you seperate the rants from the news stories that people are posting as a rant that actually hints at a conspiracy theory that might make a movie of the week?

Frankly, I think you are making more work for your self.

I was enrolled in a webmastering course and applied to my native band for funding...the school went belly-up two weeks after my course started. Of course we werent refunded. It didnt help my image with my band either.

But one thing I learned on my own though while preparing my self for the course was this: grand rule of web site design: DONT MAKE ME THINK>!

In other words: use the KISS principle.

Your front page design requires far too much thinking. The more intuitive the better.

I reccomend:

travel Stories and tales

advice seekers

news clippings and discussions/opinions

pot-pourri

cage match room for particularily enrgaged posters and threads

--

AND THATS IT! Movies and films are so indidious and a byproduct of everyones culture they will work thier way into all of them and are so far and few in between no one will notice

also add TIPS to the advice seekers categories

and this is where kapa's Columbia Tailor post could go for
instance

as its a news story, its also a tip

thats how companies sometimes make the news...they issue a news release..its called FREE publicity..

That is the thing with being a moderator. I decide where stuff goes.

Angelina Jolie in Darfur could go in either Entertainment or here.

Columbian bulletproof clothing tailor goes here.

Don't think about this too much, it is not a form of oppression (if you think it is please take it to The Tin-Foil Hat Cafe).

Wow, bet that took a good bit of work. Especially like how you moved the topics, it feels as if the ice has already been broken. Major kudos.

Yeah I think it is a wonderfuly idea and requires little thinking at all on my part...but then I dont spend a whole lot of time thinking anyways.

I like it though.....it is pretty cool cuz when I left home about four hours ago everything was just like old...and now it is all brand new...kind of like being catapulted into the twilight zone only without my usual need for shrooms in order to get that particular effect...good going Kurt
Passion is necessity. It is not diligence, or simply being committed to a goal. Passion consumes you while you chase down your goal. Passion should always be your natural state of mind for it is what sparks momentum and sets the pace.

All of a sudden, in one fell swoop.. the Black Flag Cafe takes a giant bound towards emulating the Lonely Planet Thorn Tree.

No disrespect, Kurt.. Just wanted to wind up Young-Pelton!
