It's OZHIVE

When Aussies return to the nest to sup upon Royal Jelly excreted by the Queen Aussie (named Wazzaloowumpa) and get pheromonal instructions about which English speaking country to travel to so they can try to make it more Australian friendly.

Upon completing the task, We will begin to notice an uptick in pre-carcinoma travelers who insist on eating every meal outside.

Their Orwellian one government high taxes fascist police state is being rejected by the plebes the world over. They're in retreat but you can bet they'll be back with all kinds of peer reviewed studies and will tell us that it's all over our heads.

Get with the programme - the thesis is now locked down until 2021. Can only imagine the bullshit on stilts that has been written to justify this weirdness. Fucking creepy.

Abstract

This research explores the followers of the book The World’s Most Dangerous Places. These tourists deliberately travel to dangerous destinations where there is a high level of violence due to civil unrest, conflict or war. The research has focused on the Black Flag Café, an online tourism-based community created by the writer Robert Young Pelton, author of the books Come Back Alive and The World’s Most Dangerous Places. This is a case study that has made use of virtual ethnography and descriptive content analysis to explore the forum and its members. The research has identified four factors which influence the forum members’ decision to travel to a dangerous place: a search for selfactualisation through “it” or peak experiences; a desire to improve self-image and to obtain status from travelling to dangerous places; a search for an “authentic” travel experience; and finally their awareness and perception of danger and acceptance of the residual risks involved in travel to dangerous places. The study shows that the forum members enjoy pushing the boundaries of risk, undertaking a form of edgework. The research also explores the forum members’ sense that travelling to dangerous places can result in other benefits including familiarity with death, gaining arousal from risk taking
(flow) and the possibility of repeat travel to increasingly dangerous places. The conceptual framework developed from the research displays the danger tourist’s approach to travelling to dangerous places. This framework identifies five benefits which participants obtain from travelling to dangerous places: flow, self-actualisation, improvement to self-esteem, the achievement and/or maintenance of status and familiarity with death. While this framework has been developed for the tourists who travel to dangerous places, undertaking danger tourism, it could equally be applied to other high-risk activities.

That's the kind of crap they do to be called Doctor?

The Mexicans like to grill hot peppers over charcoal before they serve them. This brings out the flavors of the peppers. It also helps to give you severe monkey butt. I mean howling. When you eat them, you know you're going to pay for it.

So I could do a doctoral thesis on people that eat grilled hot peppers that give them dangerous monkey butt. They'd probably give me a Ph.D and a M.D. Right? And then they'd pay me to do "peer reviewed studies." Right? Shit this sounds a lot easier than the oil business. I'd just have to find some leftist idiots to pay for it. Or get hired by the government.

There is still a criminal investigation tied with this. Of course, I mention this and I will get an email from Penta saying "no there isn't" but thats why it has been locked down until some of us will be dead.

and...

It was not even her doing that locked it down.

Oddly, not every BFC thing is influenced directly by BFC people. There are procedures and policies, enough to make a German seem Libertarian when certain events are tied to a thesis.

It's like that one Harry & Paul skit where they say "Oh my, the event I have anticipated has occurred! hahahahha!" when it has the old Greek couple watching Mr. Bean.

Except, Mr. Bean is surprising some of you with it's edgy and unpredictable comedy.

That's gotta be a real letdown for Vlindsay, to put forth all that work on a thesis to achieve the status of a quasi bona-fide academic and then to have the damn thing outed as shady. The University can't lose face (academic types hate to lose face) and they're stuck with her and she's stuck with them.

This story will never die.

That sort of disappointment is pretty much what most academics go through most of the time. But as I've said before, PhDs aren't all created equal. Your uni, faculty and your supervisor really do matter. Those peer reviewed publications matter most of all. In this case were talking about a PhD in *cough* "tourism" from Bournemouth University (I had to look it up, which is not a good thing). It's got about as much academic value as an old stick mag under nowhammys bed. Seriously, get over it.

So this thesis is still locked down, despite it now being 2022 and it was slated to be opened to the public on 12 August 2021. I have just put in a FOI request to see if they'll send me a copy. I missed the original controversy with this, despite being a member of the forum back then. Keen to see if I get a shout out in the "virtual ethnography"! Will keep y'all posted.

I am not sure of the current status.
The un-nameables got talked to and warned by the cops. Dr. V. Has been promoted rather than removed.
RYP and I both have a hard copy. Its still in my home town. I cannot print out the book but if anyone wants a specific part I can transcribe it or give a synopsis.... Maybe this march.
This has mostly dropped as a concern since the real reason for it was to get her PhD rescinded and that failed spectacularly.

As I posted in 2016.... This was not locked by V but rather by the University due to a criminal investigation and harrassment tied to it.

So basically Fansy and that other guy with the Pacino avatar got it blocked by being Flying Monkeys for the un nameables.

I am pretty sure I fucked one of the people involved in this controversy. I forget which one.

Which, in the context of this forum, makes me quite unremarkable.
