I am glad after the shootdown sometime ago, it seems like Russia and Turkey are seeming to get better along or things having cooled down. There was no escalation after this.

Too true.
Most of the attacks reported are in the big cities, it is a vast country.
Part of NATO Incirlik whatever for who knows how long, they still aren't getting any closer into the EU (still money to be made so can't blame them), not up to snuff on the Syrian situation but it's basically in their back yard and Erdogan has become like a boogy man (the not-dancing type) over here.
