I have wanted one since these are the best "Shit, there is a rat in my house" type guns. Lead .177 pellets included would be cool.

I was thinking cost + $20 shipping and packing + $30 Thanks for helping me, have some beer fee.

E pm sent. I'd try a slingshot or poaching/traps, practice being more than half the fun.

There's been politico talk of moratorium on this month's gas, electricity and water bills (semi-state owned so...), easy deferments on mortgage payments and bonus money on top of unemployment benefits. Haven't read up on it much tbh but I doubt they'll be bothering much about patients' hospital payments in PIGS next couple of months.

Those guys were screwed financially already, wonder what/if EU response 'll be. Local clowns have set up a minority gov, semi-continuing the temp thing they had going since last elections. :eyeroll:

I suspected it to be costly but that interest rate seems unsane.

Even with insurance my wife and I get bills sent to us for $30k sometimes. Just to pressure us into paying something. We typically just ignore it, then the bill goes from $30k to $1200 and then down to like $250, then a collection agency calls us and threaten to ruin our credit.

This is over something we already paid, for those of you "why not just pay your bills" kind of people. (for those people I will send an invoice for drywall they already paid for so they know what I am talking about)

The thing is that the US already has "Socialised Medicine" but it is paid at the county level and only when a bill cannot be paid, so it is really, really expensive socialised medicine. The kind that has people going to the ER for routine checkups and shots at 3am so their county of their birth (not residence...that is how it is handled) can get the bill.

I can see now which of my ideas about how to run stuff was dumb (alot of it) and which was smart (not as much as I would like) but anyone who denies a lesson now is really an idiot.

The US needs single payer and it needs a national health infrastructure to help the states, not rely on the states alone.

NYC is at the "Corpses In Semis" phase of this:

I suspect there are some who think these are crisis actors or CPR dummies in need of refrigeration.

Of course there are people who think this.

I wonder what they're going to do with the trucks afterwards. Will they really be used to transport vegetables again?

Yep. Trailer cleaners can make anything pass any inspection. Tanker trucks can carry raw cashew oil (for brake pads...really sticky and stinky) to milk after a professional cleaning service gets done with them. Box trucks are even easier.

I got out of Trinidad and back to Canada hours before they closed their borders and no more flights in or out. Just finished two weeks quarantine in Nova Scotia. Everything closed here but grocery, liquor stores, pharmacies, hardwares, the mall, Walmart, etc....

The stupid province closed the fishing season too. April is prime brook trout and I've never seen another soul in any of my remote back waters (45 minutes of abandoned logging roads followed by a half hour bush whack). I tied flies all quarantine. Fuck. I can go to the mall but can't go off my myself in the woods. Could go anyway but I'd lose some pretty high end gear if a conservation officer caught me driving back out....

Flying search and rescue helicopters is considered essential so they should be able to get me back into the country end of April. My back2back and I elected to do two month tours until this quiets downs.

Got one. I was shooting a half dozen squirrels a day before the wife got pissed and took in all her bird feeders. I dry the nicer tails for tying fishing flies.

There are just some things that are perfect in their simplicity. I also always like single shot, bolt action .22 rifles for this very reason.

Oregon doesn't have a broad 'non-essential services' ban instead select industries are shut down: restaurants/bars (delivery allowed though), barbershops, malls, sports facilities, theatres, etc. Any business not listed in the ban has to comply with a social distancing enforcement meaning people must stay 6' from each other. So any business that can stay open is creatively clawing at whatever business it can get. For instance: Boober Eats! *video was before the social distancing rule. not sure if service is still going

If it wasn't for the crushing recession starting up this would all be fun.

Ozone supposedly gets rid of even corpse juice smell. Disinfection isn't hard.

Sucks you guys/gals are stuck in this situation though. I am coming to understand I cannot fully grasp this outside of my socialised medicine bubble. Funny how pondering about NY hospitals' morgue capacity seems like not as much of an outlandish kind of thing but hell, it be interesting times...

Here in Canada, seems most people aren’t being tested, unless they traveled. The message is mostly stay at home, and only if symptoms become severe then seek treatment.

Lots of people are getting sick here, but may never know or confirm if it is covid19. Whatever the official number of cases are, and despite what the govt says, I know fully well this has been community spread for much longer than they say, and the real number of cases could be 100 times the offical.

My wife and I have been battling weird back and forth kind of like a flu for a week and a half. (chills, body aches, headaches, sore throat and the most troublesome the lack of breathing. It sucks but as long as you don’t panic, and you keep your mind focused on breathing consciously, it eventually passes. What’s really bizarre about this is it comes and goes, we’ve each had two episodes that last roughly a whole day/night of struggling to breathe. When this happens, I can’t really sleep, cause you need to focus on breathing and sitting upright. Then it will pass, you feel almost good for a few days, then it comes back, very bizarre. I’m still able to work, just modified so that I’m not around other people.
No coughing and no fever though.

More and more work shutdowns continue to happen, but mine is still considered essential. I feel govts as well as the WHO really dropped the ball on all of this. The Asians so far have proven much more effective at keeping the population safe. Liberal democracies have exposed their weaknesses at handling these things.

Shit is getting real, and a lot of people are really fucked out of work and money, businesses everywhere may never survive this. Despite all the kind words by leaders on tv, we are all pretty much on our own, increasingly so as this progresses, so now is a good time to look out for one another, neighbours and friends. Who knows.....maybe this will prove good in the end.

Have one of these. Had if for years. It is rather badass. I like that you can pump it like 1 time for shooting targets in the house (wife loves that lol) or 10 times and straight up stop a charging Rhinoceros. Very accurate and worth the scope mount if you feel like it.

I often keep it in the get home bag. Very good for every trunk.

Have only ever shot pellets with it. Good way to crib some rabbits around town this time of year : )
