I spent a total of two months in the Dodge City area for work a decade ago and they had a major small town complex. I remember there being a big divide between lefties confiding to me their disdain towards most of the populance and righties puffing out their chest and calling me a coastie that didn't get it(guess that mean't coastal elite?). Anyway the steak was decent and the people were mostly pleasant but some had big chips on their shoulders.
