It's almost like you are cheering for two separate football teams. Seems so odd from the outside looking in. You talk about left and right and from our perspective there is no left in your country at all. If there were you would at least join the rest of the western world and have universal health care for your populace.

Even the "pretend" left in the US would be in the conservative party here.

Yep.
I tend to favor what BLM and Antifa stand for so when there is what view as an anomali in their behavior I will tend to downplay or distract from the event.
Since Tarkan tends to favor the MAGA group he will do the same and claim it was not that big of an event and distract focus on the riots this summer.
As with most opinions the bias wont stand up when the law is applied.
The point is to question and practice so no obe gets comfortable with making standing declaractions that cause law or due process in application of the law to be ignored.

You would seem a little more genuine if literally a single thing over the last 4 years had been done in the name of “unity.”

But the pain was the point for you and your ilk. Literally, “own a libtard” was the beginning and end of it. If it achieved that you stood to applaud. Even if policy ran against your own interests.

But yeah, “unity approach” is the hill you want to die on.

Fucking lol.

Sort of hard to take a unity approach when the other side weaponizes the CIA and the FBI and uses them to drive an impeachment using literal disinfo for the better part of 2.5 out of the 4 years in question. While in principle Rob, I don’t disagree - neither side appears inclined towards rapprochement, I don’t remember Republican congressmen or women talking about putting Obama supporters in re-education camps or taking Trump supporters’ kids from them the way AOC has started spouting off.
I'd whore myself out just one more time if I knew who to screw to get out of this grind.

AOC did not say re-education camps. She wanted funds to deprogram White Supremist...Which is still stupid.

I'd go for distract, redirect and isolate for a larger program.

I consider them to be enemy non-combatants in an insurrection and their minds are easily manipulated by people who say the "right things" not by people who wish to correct their behavior.

For distraction I would get the "Great Replacement" wing of Nazis to fight the "Jews Control The Blacks so the Blacks will exterminate us" wing. Many of the "Great Replacement" wing are Jewish so that would be pretty easy to do. Those that would commit violence would have to deal with a very well funded state security apparatus and a shockingly over-funded national defense apparatus.

A quick switch of priorities and those that struck out violently would be either killed or jailed and the Industries we have funded forever would be happy to do so once we implied that the lapses of January 6th were their fault and we should reconsider our priorities.

AOC's relatively ineffective idea would just panic them to kill anyway. For some reason they are more scared of admitting they are brainwashed than they are of having a massive security apparatus fuck them sideways. Just like how they are scared of "Bill Gates Planting Microchips" but not scared at all of spending $600.00 + $80 per month to have Apple or Google track them with their phones.

Unless AOC knows they are gonna go batshit crazy and get killed because of it. I doubt it though. She is too nice.

Oh yah, we do have the Trump Camps at the border.

That is a cruelty apparatus that could remain in place while just switching the target.

I'd be in favor of tearing them down and investigating those who ordered it and carried out orders instead though, even in my cruelest, most vengeful moments I do not want those to remain for any reason.

I liked the death panels.

Kind of funny, what with this pandemic, you'd think more countries would have done it the Dutch way, having the elderly and infirm die off instead of tanking their economy by imposing lock-downs. Oh, wait...

When things are BFC Bad = Rape Camps for Patriots
When things are BFC Good = Can of Pork and Beans buys a blowjob for Patriots.

Its weird, in 2009 it was all OMG! Rape Camps and Death Panels!!!!!
Then in 2017 we did have a Rape camp equivelent as part of immigration policy and we had a Death Panel equivelent as part of our COVID-19 response.
Then 2021 OMG Reeducation Camps and forced vaccinations!!!!

Personally I think American propaganda is to blame. Its genius is that it was self perpetuating and profitable via Hollywood etc. Its curse is that a genre of Americans took it quite literally and began to see themselves in the role of the hero defending a basically flawless system. Hell, it even has a pretty big impact on smart Americans.

But to be a hero, you need an evil to right.

So rape camps seem like a good place to start. And if it's your guy implementing them, then obviously they aren't rape camps.

I don’t know how the conviction trial in the Senate will go. Rudy Giuliani wants to continue being his lawyer for this event even though Trump is already stiffing him on his $20,000 daily legal fees. He wants Trump to testify at the public Senate impeachment hearings. Hmmm, I wonder how that will play.

Now the new boogeyman (or boogeywoman) is AOC. Some folks (here) are certainly threatened by her! I never have heard the same amount of ire and bile directed at the leftist Bernie Sanders, even though he has been at it a lot longer, even though he wasn’t even a Democrat until he decided to jump on the train and run for Prez under the party’s umbrella, even though in his long life he’s never held a regular job, or paid child support (instead he stood by while his son’s mother had to go on welfare), even though his current wife ran a perfectly good college into the ground toot suite, leaving with a healthy payout that bought them a vacation home. Anyway, enough about him. All I care about right now in his regard is how he will vote in the Senate on the conviction of Donald J. Trump, the one-term President. Hmm, I wonder how he will vote?

AOC is A-OK. A hard worker, true to her base, and speaks truth to power. Nobody needs to go into a tizzy because she has approached the subject of deprogramming the Trump cultists. By education. Not by “re-education camps”. Don’t be ridiculous.

she is unimpeachable. See what I did there?

You are right about the propaganda that Americans (and what others) believe about themselves being a cause.

Best Country In the World to Live.

Newp. Lots of better place to live.

Why don't you move there?

etc etc etc ... Our glaring problems of wealth disparity, lack of healthcare and debt combined with the "we are awesome" attitude is a shitty one.

Before I started traveling I believed the USA had the best roads in the world. I have since been on some of the worst and what are indeed the best (France and Germany seem to be vying for #1 and #2 but I have heard good things about Japan and South Korea too) and we rate about a C- or D+ in the road department.

Many people, including others in the world believe the US is the "Wealthiest Nation In the World" and by some units of measure we may be, but clearly not where it matters. I'd say Norway is.

What happens when oil reserves meet Democratic Socialism Minus Corruption? A giant sovereign wealth fund, massive investment in infrastructure and a plan to eventually stop producing and selling oil.

Here is The Ryfast Tunnel System:

https://www.vegvesen.no/vegprosjekter/ryfast

Started 2012, Finished in 2019 and 2020 ahead of schedule and slightly below budget. It has bicycle and pedestrian areas as well as artificial sunlight to help treat people with Seasonal Affective Disorder. It is a public infrastructure project designed to connect a country with huge geographic impediments in a very small area and make people healthier.

Here is the Big Dig of Boston Massachusetts:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Dig

Built in 25 years and 190% over budget the Big Dig still actively kills people with shoddy workmanship and protective guardrails that are so sharp and dangerous they are called "Ginsu Guardrails" after the Knife commercials in the US during the 80s and 90s.

I know some people are going to say "But Democrats" when it comes to the Big Dig and they would be right but it is a general condition in the USA. Be it Obama's high speed rail or Trump's border wall it ends up being a shit project that makes a lot of money for some people while nothing gets done.

Same with our Democratic credentials. Obviously we are on par with Turkey. We had the electoral college which has made it so a timid election official in Michigan could overthrow a whole election if they chose to do so ...and that is when it doesn't work. When it works it is theoretically possible for a candidate to win with less than 40% of the popular vote. One of our two parties is devoted to marginalization of voters (the Republicans) and wish to emphasize territory over population, just like in the days of slavery. So our myth about ourselves has weakened our ability to vote democratically.

We got lots of problems that need to be exposed.

France and Germany both have fucking terrible roads, even by European standards. Both countries don't spend anywhere enough on infrastructure.

Well, I think they are awesome. But that should tell you how shitty US roads are.

Romania had great roads...Until they weren't.

It went from Autobahn style, 2 meters of substrate below 1/2 meter of concrete below 1/2 meter of flexible bitumen and then you take an exit somewhere and have to dodge boulders that have rolled into the middle of a road.

Oh, I forgot to mention. 100 years ago last April my Great Uncle rowed my grandmother across a lake. Then put the rowboat on a boat dolly and walked to Forsand Norway and then from there she took a ferry to Stavanger where she took the boat that took her to the USA.

When she returned to visit in the 1930s it was the same. In the 1950s it had a gravel road leading to her farm. When I went there in 1980 it had electricity and tarmac. When I went there in 1990 there was a bridge. Now with Ryfast A two day journey from the old farm to Stavanger takes about 30 to 40 minutes. It now generates so much electricity that it sells it to Sweden (the farm, not Norway)

Infrastructure is clearly how to get a better life and how to invest wealth for future dividends.
