He wrote a book critical of Jerry Falwell and the Moral Majority in like 1982 or 1983 (his father is a theologian) and he actually had death threats because of it. Someone made up some shit about Falwell sending a "Hit Squad" after him (Obviously Jerry Falwell did not send a hit squad) but death threats from Falwell Fanbois is quite admirable.

Dunno why someone would choose a world where the term "Belt System" is used without irony over an environment where your father is a fearless intellectual in his field.

Dunno. Probably something like "High Church Jesus Rules, Pietist Jesus Drools" or something. It was either a Church only publication or it is out of print. The name of the book was not mentioned by the news article about the death threats....Which was stupid because generally Theology books, even popular ones, are not a way to make cash.

Usually mainstream Wooden Church Pew types tended to approve of Television as a way to spread the Gospel but disapproved of Pastoral interaction with a congregation via Television. In other words TV to bring them in but then after that it was up to people as a Church to create the relationship with God. (you can tell I took a few theology classes for Lutheranism). Stating that in the 1980s (and the 1930s as well) would get a lot of people angry with you based on the amount of untaxed cash people raked in. Now big churches are mainstream and the old High Church model is the one that struggles.

I would nuke the girlfriend's address. It's a long time ex that booted him shortly after he ran off with her. There's no reason she needs his hate mail after this many years. The other addresses are where he's hiding as far as I know. He's not functional enough to hold a day job and his family (who I have nothing but respect for BTW) are the only people willing to deal with his crap anymore.
