Difference between UK/CAN governments and US

Up here and over there we're not impressed by politicians. Ever. And we don't ever give them money. And yes, I know some organizations give money.

Why do you?

When you are in a Civil War like the USA is now The Blues are using the laws and institutions to fight The Reds and the Reds are trying to change those laws and institutions or eliminate them altogether. The problem is that The Reds must still fight on battlefields chosen by the institutions they hope to dismantle.

Ah, that's how it's been working. Good fucking luck, and I mean that. I really do. It's like a slow moving train wreck.

Of course Kurt's remarks are from another thread but it makes the point.

Fuck, I'm Aussie.

When I tell yanks that I could literally walk up to our Prime Minister and shake his hand, basically any time, they simply don't believe me.

For a group of people who threw off the idiocy of monarchy, they certainly seem to want another authoritarian badly.

Sparrow, my earlier tongue in cheek response aside. What are you asking? Like why do the hoi polloi kick in $50 towards Trump's campaign?
