For a long time, Israel has had excuses to get rid of Bibi. But they didn’t, and he can thank the ultra-Orthodox of Israel for his survival. Ironic, because the Haredi sect are anti-Zionist. They’re also exempt from Israel’s compulsory military service, as their role
is simply to be all holy roller with the Talmud all day. Now the Israeli government is suggesting that the Haredi be conscripted into their war(s), and quite a few are balking at that and even threatening to leave Israel.

So, I just kinda feel like Israel has gotten the western world by the short hairs. Don’t nobody want to be perceived as anti-Semitic because they’re not down with Zionism, or/and occupying territories and imposing an apartheid state on non-Semites. It’s fucking emotional blackmail.

Israel AND Iran both have nukes, no? That ain’t gonna bring the hostages home.

My sincere hope is that Israel will call it a day, since they whacked a couple of high ranking IRGC generals and Iran's response was about as effective as farting upwind of Israel.

My worry is that Bibi will escalate because a continued state of war is the only way for him to stay out of prison. If that happens the West's remaining sympathy for Israel is likely to shrink even further as higher oils prices make people very, very unhappy. America's support for Israel might be iron clad, but a resurgence of inflation in an election year trumps everything.
