Well, we've been known to do some serious offshore fishing. Big stuff that can't be wrassled into a boat.

Between big fish thrashing around .. sharp fins.. teeth .. powerful tails smashing around .. etc .. it can get a little hairy. That's usually when the sharks make the scene.

I don't know about you but after fighting a fish for 4 to 12 hours I'm not going to sit there and watch the sharks shred them up. If one shark is wounded the others tear him up and we can get out of there. But it doesn't always work like that.

I don't kill things for fun.

Just for some perspective. We love big tuna.

They're ok, nice and light - the tape is only for peace of mind, they probably would stay together without tape no problem if and when the shit hits the fan, but I want to be doubly sure I can put rounds down and know there's a second mag close by to re-load and carry on - these weapons aren't for looking cool down the range with the earmuffs and baseball caps on, they have a very important role in the real world hopefully saving my white ass

Best thing about the translucent polymer mags is you can check your rounds fired and change mags quickly without losing the ability to put down a fast rate of fire uninterrupted- I've tried it out on the range here and it works a treat

No, no, no. I think that it is a very nice set up. I am a fan of iron sights (they dont break). The rifle looks compact, and I would love to shoot it.

Iron sights are fine for the job at hand, scopes and sights on a PSD/CP job are for poseurs and Johnny Commando-types

I'll think of you while I'm out pigeon shooting tomorrow in a glorious part of England with a Remington 11-87. Remington 700 on hand for a buck.

Break for lunch which my mates missus always pushes the boat out for. Then onto pub in the evening - eye up the floozie, they always love a man fresh from the gralloch.

Wanna swap?

Fuck me! Shows what I know - I thought most PMCs were using the AK or the MP-5.

FF - is that SIG full auto capable? The selector looks like it might be....

Doesn't matter if it's not. I've fired the semi-auto US version of that and it is shweeeet.

Yes mate, it fires semi and fully auto and can fire a twenty round burst on the third setting - we also have HK G36K for other tasks and can carry para minimi (SAW to you colonials) when required, and of course the armoury holds AKs for us too - it's all good

I have to say Flip that looks much nicer than what they gave you in Iraq.

Now just for the sake of being a PITA and really just to also give an opinion that really is worth Fuck-all in the scheme of things and throws out all practical, operational or ligistical considerations and definately is not meant to ruffle feathers or piss anyone off.

I personally would rather have a different pistola in a larger caliber and another brand.

A .45 and in many of the differing options available.

That said it's a nice set up and I hope is serves you well though in a perfect world (which does not happen to be there) you never need to use it.

take care.

Very best,
Stiv
