AR-15, which Manufacturer rifle is best?
Bushmaster, DPMS, Colt, Olympic Arms, Smith & Wesson, and any others.
How do you rate them?

That chart looks as if it were put together with a direct bias supporting Colt's features.

There are so many different manufacturers of ARs in the market that you have ample choices.

My own is made by doublestar out of KY and it is superb - but my superb and others superb may be different due to having a different use of the rifle in mind.

Bushmaster has a very good reputation for building a box-stock AR, but on that chart it's not looking good. However, there are so many different models available from Bushmaster that such a chart isn't really going to offer a fair comparison - ditto with other mfgrs.

Decide what you are going to use the gun for, learn about the features and purchase something that fits your needs the best.

I love my Colt 6920, but like Woodsman said, there are many different models available from these manufacturers.

I needed one for work so I went with a Rock River. It is fine for what I am doing with it.

DEA went with RRA too, and they seem to be happy with them. Not a bad choice at all.

A tax write off to boot, good work sir.

My Armalite receiver, bolt carrier group , buffer and the stock are only parts that aren't custom on my AR. I do prefer the Colts though. POF uppers work real well on all the lowers we tried them with.

Whichever one works best with your $10,000 DIAS.....

Seriously, buying for looks, DPMS. Buying for functionality, Colt or RR.

Heckler&Koch. HK416 is basically an M4 with G36 operating system, and Delta Force uses it.

That's field stripping? Is that another way of saying you ran over it with a plough? :-)

What the heck did you do with that rifle??? we use the g36 as well (I'm in the German army). But when I said HK416, I meant the operating system of the g36, not the frame which is made of plastic and many of the soldiers who are using it want to get back their old G3's. But so far I'm totally satisfied with the G36, I like it better than the AR15 cause there is a lot less cleaning and far less stoppages. And it's got a 4x scope PLUS a red dot sight. I love gimmicks
