The new one is a 32 hole. If I cared about looks I'd upgrade the front too.
I probably should because it deforms and contacts the brake when I torque the handlebars going uphill.
I have a goal to not be a Clydesdale when I leave :).

I use a local bike shop (Evolution Bike Shop.
I told them to use good stuff and hold the bling :).

Maybe I should have them get me one of these:

I'm planning on hitting the road on the first of July. That gives me a lot of time to prepare physically.
I've already started my journal at Crazy Guy On a Bike but haven't published it yet.
