Boy, this is an impressive weapon system. The company is located in Arco, Idaho too. Cheers.

A box of 20 rounds cost about 125 dollars. Each bullet is made on a metal lathe, and the mix of metals in the bullet is a company secret.

Is that the rifle from the movie “Shooter”?

Just buy a 50 cal upper for your AR-15 for 1500 bucks – I have one and its not bad considering the price

No.

The Cheytac is a sharpshooter's gun. That is, a sharpshooter who has got the money. It's not about being the biggest, it's about being the most precise over long range in a situation where taking out a precision target over a couple thousand yards is the goal.

If you can routinely shoot a precision firearm at a 1/3 minute of angle and understand and can work with all the constraints of precision ballistics, then you can use the Chey-tac to do things a .50 cal (or anything else on the market) would never be able to do.

There aren't too many of us that can shoot at that level.

Compare and constrast the ballistic coefficients of the Chey-tac bullets and anything else on the market with comparable energy. There's even more to it than that, but B.C. is the major factor in precision.

Yes, Jumper - that is a very nice component.

Have you fired one yet?

Nope, I haven't fired that thing yet. Maybe one of these days I will head on over to Arco and check out the thing.

US$7,500 to $12,000, depending on which and how many barrels you get.

And You already know what the ammo costs.....
