EOTech Optics for SIG 552

I'm thinking of buying an EOTech sight for my SIG 552 - good idea? What price should I be paying?

I paid $300 for it new two years ago. It's been a good piece of equipment. The on/ off switch can be a challenge if you are wearing gloves with finger tips.
