Yes, it's something comfortable to sleep with.

I have the Big Agnes Seedhouse 2. Pluses are it is roomy, very lightweight, and folds up small. Looks well-made and you can get a mat of the same material that fits under the poles On the neg side you can get a big amount of condensation, when you use the tent fly closed. Not enough to make me wish I had another tent (and at 300 US or so was a big investment) but on trips longer than a day can be a big annoying carry a wet tent.

Very quickly. One pole, with branches at both ends that go into holes at tent corners. Then hooks on tent top that go on the pole. Can be pegged in and made sturdier as needed. Fly thrown over top and snaps to tent corners.

When I was in NJ couldn't order a Bibbler due to some fire issue they said. If you check around for Big Agnes vendors might get one that includes the footprint as a package discount deal. Then you can use just the footprint with the fly if you like at times. Can't remember exactly but I might have got it online from Campsaver http://campsaver.com/ (Utah outfit) or from REI.

nice, the bibler is fantastic for mountaineering. i usually bring this along and it is the perfect size for one with all the junk, or two very friendly folk

but it seriously sucks in the summer with that one door.

i'll prolly be more likely to use the big agnes w/o the fly, unless it's raining. i just can't stand getting eaten by skeeters all night.

how can one resist a sub 3 pound tent?

If you are getting a light solo tent (as you said you already ordered it), I was just wondering if you looked at any of the hammock tents at all? I'm generally more in favor of traditional-type tents, and I'll admit I've been a skeptic, but I'm starting to turn a little bit.

This guy seems to have tried to debunk almost all the downsides to hammock camping. I'm not trying to start another post on it, because I know there have been a few. But I am curious, since you said you just purchased your big agnes tent, if you considered a hammock tent to any degree?

i cannot stand hammocks of any sort. just doesn't appeal.
i just don't like the way i feel trapped in there, and the sag makes my back hurt.
plus, you need two really sturdy things to tie off to. i camp in the mountains and the desert a lot.

i am a big fan of a freestanding tent, i like a vestibule i can leave muddy boots out in.
