Ammo for Girlfriend

Postby captain_stu2 » Sat Nov 01, 2008 6:50 am

I'm getting my girlfriend a Glock .45. She's not really buff but she does have some strength. I was thinking that the ammo I wanted was the kind that opens up while still in the body. I heard a nasty rumor that those were not available to the public anymore. Is it true? What should I be getting her?

The TAP CQ® (close quarters) line of ammunition is specifically designed to offer law enforcement the best possible performance in duty pistol ammunition. TAP CQ® bullets perform within the optimum range of penetration and expansion for law enforcement tactical applications, giving 12-15" of penetration in bare ordnance gelatin. The ammunition has also been designed with propellants that are clean burning and efficient with a minimum amount of residue and signature flash.

I keep Hydra-Shok in my .40. Like was said above, don't take the good stuff to the range.

In my .45's I carry Speer Gold Dot. I like Hydrashok too.

Always recommended for a common or garden domestic. Does away with all sorts of problematic spouses.

She's not really buff but she does have some strength.

It is much more effective and less labour intensive than a frying pan or high velocity vase.

What should I be getting her?

This was a big hit with my GF a few years ago. It cost me an arm and a leg and my entire extended family, but she's worth it.

Gold Dots are now the industry standard self defence round. There is no subsittute for shot placement, though. Buy a lot of Winchester white box and take her to the range a lot. Practice, practice, practice.

Also function fire the defense rounds to ensure that they feed well. With a Glock, she should have no problems.

If I may retort, Winchester Ranger SXT is the same as the old black talon rounds just have a brass jacket. they feed very well in Glocks.
