I think the stock Saiga 7.62's are a good value. You can keep it stock and keep a few High Cap Pro Mags hidden away if you're inclined.

Yeah, Peach State has them for $329. Can hardly by a used box of chopped up parts for that.
Be nice to me. I'm a rug muncher.

The .223 is a poodle puncher. Don't use it for anything but small game. Don't know for certain, but I've heard you can get some very effective .223 varmint rounds. I prefer something in .30 caliber for hunting larger game, either 30.06, .308 Winchester, or .300 Win Mag. Of course, if you're going really large (elephant, hippo, rhino, Loch Ness monster, etc.) I'd recommend something in .375 Holland and Holland. The Kimber Caprivi is an excellent rifle for this cartridge. My favorite rifle in 30.06 is the 1917 Enfield, and my fave for .308 is the Remington 700. The Brits did well making the Lee Enfield .303 series of rifles. These are excellent for medium-larger game, and my favorite is the Lee Enfield No.4 MkII. Always iron sites.
