No 2nd run of either of the numbered LE knives, Sterile LE or Mr. DP LE. I haven't heard anything about them offering a Mr. DP non-numbered in retail.

I hope the same LE versions are not offered again for the HEST/F. Numbered or not, they would take away from the original 250.

Was wondering if RYP or any other owners of the hest f could tell me what all the holes on the skull tool are for, I know the left eye is for the glass breaker clip pin, but for the life of me I can't figure the right eye or the little scraper lookin thing on the bottom left.

one eye for the glass breaker, the other i used to put on my dog tags. the notch is a wire stripper firesteel scraper. or paracord cutter. you could also put paracord through the round eye and put it on a lanyard or whatever.

take it easy

Mine showed up today. Awesome knives - solid lockup, no tip issue. Worth the wait - haters need a new hobby.

They sound like cunts who need a totem-pole sized tampon.

My lock is slipping too. I was beating the dog piss out of it on a piece of almond wood. I got through several pieces before the lock slipped, so I used the roto lock as advised and started to beat away and next thing you know I saw a big spark where the steel makes contact with the titanium.and Yup... It slipped with the lock in place. But I don't care. I still use it every day and i'm still impressed with how much abuse you could put it through. Any other folder would have broke and fallen into pieces with the way that I was treating it.

Don't get me confused, this is not at all a complaint. I wanted to push this knife to it's limit and was very impressed with how far I could take it.

Soooooo, any thoughts on how to fix this without having to bend the frame? I'm open to any suggestions. I was thinking of laser welding a little piece of titanium where the roto lock slides into place to give it a more snug fit, or should I just send it back for a tune up. what do you think? Please advise.
