My lock is slipping too. I was beating the dog piss out of it on a piece of almond wood. I got through several pieces before the lock slipped, so I used the roto lock as advised and started to beat away and next thing you know I saw a big spark where the steel makes contact with the titanium.and Yup... It slipped with the lock in place. But I don't care. I still use it every day and i'm still impressed with how much abuse you could put it through. Any other folder would have broke and fallen into pieces with the way that I was treating it.
Don't get me confused, this is not at all a complaint. I wanted to push this knife to it's limit and was very impressed with how far I could take it.
Soooooo, any thoughts on how to fix this without having to bend the frame? I'm open to any suggestions. I was thinking of laser welding a little piece of titanium where the roto lock slides into place to give it a more snug fit, or should I just send it back for a tune up. what do you think? Please advise.
