The sweetest thing kimber offers:

I looked at Springfield's site: Looks like anything awesome would have to be ordered in their custom shop.

sure if you like, pm me :)

that's a sexy little beastie woodsy - i might do that multi-state CCW class one of these days (doesn't count in Kalifornia, sadly) but then i'll probably get a concealed carry pistol just to celebrate!

Yeah, too bad I'll never buy a Colt again.

Unless I get a deal on one, like that Commander, me too. Or an old series 70 Colt. I think they are just relying on the name "Colt" to sell pistols and that the quality got flushed down the crapper. I wonder why. Suits upstairs that a totally profit driven perhaps?

So did you pick it up yet? How is it? Is it all the awesomeness you had hoped for!?

That is sweet! Might consider having him or her install a beavertail too - help keeps the web of your hand from getting pinched by the trigger on those gov't series.

Sweet! Looks awesome. I always liked those Springfield U.S. grips. If you decide to change out the grips take a look at a company called VZ Grips

The best on the market:
review:
http://www.shootingillustrated.com/Gear/Accessories/adjustable-sight.html
purchase:
http://www.novaksights.com/products/sights/index.html

These are installed on my carry pistol. They are excellent when installation accommodates windage adjustments (a decent gunsmith can figure this out).

If you have something better in mind (next time I am going to do this) contact these guys to send your design to:
