That's neat.

In the comments the guy said he gets about one hundred rounds of .22lr out of the filter before it burns out. Not bad, and I bet it's easy as hell to switch out filters. I'm guessing a person could just punch a hole in a filter and screw it directly onto a threaded barrel in a pinch. No need for a thread adapter.

No, even if the threads were the same the size of the opening isn't.

The guy in that video has developed what he calls the "Because I can CAN" that is a registered suppressor that is an adapter that does allow you to attach the adapter to your firearm and then an oil filter to the adapter. All perfectly legal and relatively cheap.
