This is what I use on long range tactical ops where weight is an issue:

In the jungle or maritime ops where I need better grip because of the humidity or water:

My airsoft version, approved by law enforcement agencies, great as a starter version to get kids into it:

yep, but it's not tactical 100%. Need to spray some camo pattern on that potato, drill a hole at the foot and attach a 550 lanyard.

an endorsement by Richard Marcinko wouldn't hurt.
I know the law. And I have spent my entire life in its flagrant disregard.

I guess this one might not be approved by Marcinko... too much glare from the shiny parts...
Bought as a factory 2nd, only thing wrong with it were some scratches in the coat and a small nick in the top false edge, that I will make deeper to use as a fire rod notch.

Ontario SP19 Task Force, 7" blade, 1/4" thick at spine, 1095 carbon steel heavy mofo; stripped and polished spine and grinds, convex edge:

bored at work... found this on ebay some time ago, so far my best handle wrap.

Kershaw Outcast in D2 tool steel; 10" blade, stripped, convexed and 2-tone 550 wrap. The OSO Sweet is for comparison, this is one big choppa:
