What really puzzles (and awes) me is the story of Sgt. Toloza. Dude from El Salvador deployed in iraq, troop got caught up in a firefight and they ran low on ammo. While retreating to a building to hold out till they get pulled out of the shithole, one of his buddies gets shot and was about to get finished by 3 guys. Mr. Toloza ran back to him, whipped out a $1 pocket knife he bought at a base before shipping out and stabbed a couple of them, grabbed his buddy and dragged him to safety to later get rescued...

Now Condor Knives makes a Toloza "fighter". MSRP is around $80.... sheeeeeeesh......

I heard that story (sort of, not the part about him buying it for a dollar, but whatever).

If I knew that Condor was sending him some cash for using his name/story I'd buy one.

Otherwise I've got a sypderco that lives in my pocket, and small multitool that lives elsewhere, and a big ass cold-steel blade for when I need something with mass that I don't really give a fuck about.

yep, the guy bought it for $1 at an army base, it wasn't even a Condor, but since the guy is from El Salvador and that's where Condor Knives are made, they decided to milk that cow. Dunno if the guy is getting some of that, but they sure posted a lot of pictures of him and the new knife on their website.

First ever kydex sheath I've done, Benchmade Nimravus:

now, this lil fucker took up most of the week to complete, ESEE Izula in OD green



dunked it in ferric chloride for 2 days to deep etch all marks, then stripped the coat



several sandpaper grits and finished it with paracord:
