Yep, I've seen a few more recently that I wouldn't mind taking home. Some of them are a bit too 'skilled' nowadays though, if you know what I mean? I prefer them kitsch as fuck and poorly manufactured, just like the country they're made in. Keeping it real etc. The missus doesn't want them in the house either, she thinks they're morbid fucking things

Cant post a pic right now but I have one that is very similiar to yours Diamondcutter. Also saw the one that Flipflop has for sale in Kabul in 03. My favorite one I bought is a little 3x2 prayer rug with a rust border and the center is different colored diamonds - it was not a mass produced one like the others.

The heavy embroidered carpet are hardly seen today. This are the rugs which are inspired from Persian art of work. I love the red color ones though.
