A Swearingen SA-227BC Metro III passenger plane, registered EC-ITP, was damaged beyond repair in a landing accident at Cork Airport (ORK), Ireland. There were 10 passengers and two crew members on board. Both crew members and four passengers were killed. The airplane operated on Manx2 flight NM7100 from Belfast City Airport (BHD) to Cork Airport (ORK). It departed at 08:12. The aircraft made an approach to runway 17 in low visibility conditions (Category 2) and went around. The crew attempted a second landing on runway 35. The aircraft then went around a second time and came back for an approach to runway 17. On the second approach to runway 17 the aircraft crashed adjacent to Taxiway C, came to rest upside down. A fire erupted.
