Yes we did sir.

There are some real graphic pictures of it, but I know some people have issues with that sort of thing.

Snake (all kinds) tastes like chicken.
Sloth= lamb.

great shots, dude. i'm confused, though, are you taking these classes or are you one of the instructors?
when they ask how you feeling
you tell em you feeling like something important died screaming
you tell em you feeling like something even more important arrived breathing
something you should probably try feeding

Great pics, though I may prefer to snake to Inca Cola. Run into any bullet ants while there?

Where in Peru is this?

no i mean i'd eat a sloth if the time was right. i also want one as a pet. same with dogs/cats/rats. i just thought of him moving all slow and looking up with that cute little slow ass sloth face, "heeeeeeeeyyyyy dooooooooont eeeeeeattt meeeeeeeeeeeee bbbbbbbbro....<gurgle>". looks good tho, bet it tasted even better after a full day of slogging through a hot jungle-swamp.

Great summary. I particularly like how you set up your camp/ham met. And those thorn palms...you don't want to be taking a shit around there.

Many Isula ants, more than I have ever seen in the 5 years I've been going there.

This area is about 3 hours from Iquitos, Peru.

Great photos!
I was in the Amazonian Peru for two weeks this year. I did see many bullet ants. I got diarrhea and was dehydrated a bit, so I bought antibiotics from Iquitos and oral rehydration powder. My condition was improved, but I still felt a little bit ill. It was a tough trip. Walked every day in the jungle, except for my sick day.

I also hurt myself with that spiky palm. They were growing everywhere. It was a good thing to carry disinfectant with me, every night I routinely cleaned my cuts with alcohol. They still got inflamed.

Sometimes I wonder... will God ever forgive us for what we've done to each other? Then I look around and I realize... God left this place a long time ago
