A friend co-founded an NGO called Inherit Your Rights (Q will hate this) that works with widows who, upon the death of their husbands, are dispossessed of their property and often their children by the husband's family. Anyway she is getting married in November so I'm going to Arusha for that. I'm planning to roam about the countryside a bit before and after - focusing on the northern region. Working on an itinerary now but thought I'd tap the BFC collective. Anyone been? Recommendations? I'll be flying via Addis Ababa to Kilimanjaro airport.

I hope to go in Feb. A few days in Addis is worth it if you can. I found Arusha boring byt Dar was way cool and Zanzabar was way cooler. It has been a while since I have been though. You might want to consider an open jaw option and fly back from Nairobi.
