Any one currently in Morocco or been there recently have an update on how secure it is for westerners now? Currently planning a trip for January 2015.

I was there 10 years ago and it was safe. Safer than most places.

MY 16 year old cousin went there this summer. Not quite sure what her itinerary was, however...

its safer than most euopean countrys, its no worrys, only they are good at riping off idiot and tourists, especaly in the most touristy places...if you dont see a price, ask beforehand...and lean the writen arabic numbers( easy as piss)

and if you go to chefchawan were they grow all the weed, there is the old scam were they take you up for free ( or cheap) but pressher you into buying a kg....just refuse, they will n ot kill you....its just a tourist scam, it happens 5 times every day...the people i was with,it happend to 3 separate groups...just say NO...( well say yes to the sample)

I was in Morocco as well in January, how did you find it? I loved the place, got up into the mountains quite a lot, rode camels and mules in the desert, loved some Berber ladies...

Caught that huge rain storms and the floods in November too. We almost got pulled into National Service to provide search and rescue services.
