Oh, it's been years since I was in Cuba, my info is so far out of date. I loved Santiago and Pinar del Rio, FWIW.

AirBnB was really proactive after Obama started normalizing relations, they took a big risk and will apparently lose some money because they opened up to Cuban entries so quickly. So it would be a fine thing if you wanted to support them. https://www.airbnb.com/s/Cuba

Go to Bay of Pigs, skip it, and then go a little farther to Giron, where there is a sweet invasion museum - all the weapons are greased up and ready to go in case of another invasion, which the grizzled old curator, a vet, implies may be imminent.

Ask somebody in Giron to take you Scuba diving and they'll point you down the road to a spot run by a guy named Tony. No experience necessary and you'll be 100 ft down in crystal clear water on your second dive. Fucking awesome.
