You should be able to edit your post within 20 minutes after posting.

Ages ago I allowed people to go back and edit their post at anytime they wanted to do so, but it lead to people getting pissy and removing stuff....often trying to blank out every post they ever wrote.

The price of participation here is posterity. You write something, it stays....except you have 20 minutes to change your mind.
