Concert photos from last Saturday night

Postby Lunatock » Sun Feb 10, 2008 3:42 am

Some concert photos, and a chance to test out my new Olympus E-410.

Starting off with spoken word poet GI aka Ghetto Issue. He told me he was performing while a little shitfaced, and I even caught him with his fly down.

Mr. Cheeks and his crew, they started off by playing in the crowd. So I climbed up on stage and started photogin'.

I also have two videos with my point & click camera, some spoken word poetry. At least the second one was a successfull attempt.

Tock Are you running those through any photo program? Photoshop or something like that?

I'm not on my good monitor bu they are a tad contrasty.

One rule of thumb I'll warn you about if you ever shoot black folks as clients, they positivly HATE looking darker than they feel they are.

Always overexpose them.

I'm not kidding I am serious.

Best,

And the photos still made my clients happy.

Well that's good I'm telling ya I've heard about the too dark for years even when it wasn't.

A trick we used to do with film and B+W was use a green filter and over expose a bit, lightened the blackest brother or sister right up.

Do you have photoshop?

If not you should make the investment, you'll wonder how you ever got by without it.

Yes I have photoshop, but for whatever reason didn't need it to make the last group of clients happy.

Id advise you start using it alot more.
The world would be a much cleaner place if blind people used brooms instead of canes

Brightness and contrast control, color balance, cloning that sort of thing.

IMO
