The start of the Mt Kailash Kora, Tibet, 10th October 2006. My circumambulation of the holy mountain damn near wasted me, taking 2 and a bit days to complete, walking 40km and climbing up and over the Drolma-La pass at almost 6000m - but I can now apparently achieve Nirvana within three lifetimes for having completed it!

Almighty, that is beautiful. You are a damned good photographer. I bet that walk wasted you, especially the thin air!

Enjoy Nirvana. Please post pics of it ;)

Nirvana is overrated. Valhalla is much better and far more likely for you.

I'll take it - only because there'll be no C+P cyber-warriors there, whereas I can't be sure in a state of Nirvana

Great fotos flip-flop. Esp. liked the one with the rock cairn in the foreground and the mountains in the distance. I agree with you that the outback of Australia is a pretty special landscape....

Thanks svizzerams, the wife and I are seriously considering moving permanently to Australia at some point - guys like swagnit sell the place so well. Maybe in 5 years when I've had enough of and I've saved enough money from this CP business we'll be in good shape to sell up and go - she's even considering re-training as a hairdresser as it could give us more points to pass entry :-) I dunno what I'd do, maybe become a trucker and drive a road train, who knows?

Here's another pic from the past, I'm off home soon for a well-earned rest - from Kabul and even the BFC!
