Thanks amigo!

I Never thought of it like that! Actually that's a volcanic mineral hot spring in Costa rica. That water was like 90 F and felt so awesome it was hard to get out. It was great for your skin.

I was also much heavier in that than now :-/

It actually took me a moment to see that it was a picture of you.

I have a thing for great photos, and I demand you keep em coming, as this is a lot of fun. The last pic appears you won the beer pool? Or you lost, and got the piss pool? can't tell
The one in Rio with the cable car made me feel like I was in the movie Moonraker. And the pic of the tower in Ethiopia is clearly of a phallic nature. The best example of this is Sukarno's 'last erection' in Jakarta.

Thanks for the kind words and will do!

I'm currently wading through several hundred from my last two trips and when I get there I'll post some more and dig through some others, it's a time thing amigo.

Thanks again.

argh. Istanbul still owns part of me...

Mr.Trout the Noria (water wheel) was in a town in Syria named "Hama" which other than the Noria was made famous because of a huge dissadent slaughter by Mr. Assad Sr. back in the 70's.

Great country to visit Syria.

I'll try to get some more stuff up soon, I'm notoriously slow processing/editing my stuff.

Thanks again for all your comments/kind words and interest.

The salt lake eternity pools are astonishing. Forgive plant questions: is the pink oleander at the wall of the building and nearer the front growing in pure salt? Or is it some other mineral?

Trying to remember what the tallish branching-spire plants behind the poppies are called. I tried to grow some here, but failed because of the wind: those look as if they're a hardier, stubbier version. Next time, bring me some seeds if you can.;)

Gorgeous pictures as usual.
Shes never interfered with me. I have no complaints about her.
Same here.
Mega ditto.
I met her once and I found her to be a nice lady. Not kookey in any way.
Penta has always been gracious, kind and very sane in all my interactions with her.

Thanks Pen, as to the flora other than the Poppies I'm not too sure what the others may have been though Oleander does ring a bell, there were also some huge thistles of various types around. The Travertines are actually not salt but I think calcium or a by product thereof (I'm attaching a link with more info) the best part was for as slick as the surfaces looked they infact offered great traction for walking and the water was luke warn which in colder weather would have made for much more dramatic photos. Security would try to reign in all the obnoxious Russians tourists who would simply ignore the whistles to come back from certain areas where there was a couple of hundred foot drop off.
