I think My Canon Powershot Is Officially Dead

Postby SRR » Wed Sep 10, 2008 5:21 am

So I went hiking out to some glacier lakes today and given that it was such a beautiful sunny day I thought I'd take the camera along. However it seems as though the thing is expiring, a mere 3 year old camera, gone the way of the dodo.

Take, for example, this stunning photo of the glacier, with the lake in the foreground:

Notice the beautiful sparkling blue water of the lake.

And here's a closeup of the glacier:

And a photo of some interesting birds perched on a nearby log:

So, in conclusion, it looks like I'm in the market for a new camera.

A few photos did turn out, however. It seemed like every 3rd or fourth shot turned out right.

Here's the glacier:

And my cigar:

One out of every five doesn't make a very useable camera, however.

I like them. They are very arty and cutting edge.

Accurate rendering is over rated.

I like this one SRR. You could always say that you were inside a cave somewhere photographing stalactites with a pink filter. No one would argue.
