JFF Studios present: the Fishfinger Chronicles

Postby JohnnyFishfinger » Sun Jan 25, 2009 9:54 pm

I've been planning on doing this for a while so here is my batch of travel photography. most pictures are from places I've been recent years: guatemala (the dp-est), czech republic, france, spain and last but not least England and Romania.

here's a first installment of pics from Guatemala. I went there a year ago and a had fantastic time. Enjoy!

Image

lava flowing slowly down the pacaya volcano. climbing this volcano was one of the coolest things I ever did.

Image

sundown view from Lago Atitlan, a massive lake surrounded by a couple of other volcanos. got some really amazing views when we went across the lake by boat.

Image

"chapin" child on his school's playground at the Christmas party. we brought presents for all the kids in an ethnic indian community where we helped refurbish a school. cheeky buggers were hiding the presents once they got them and then went back into the queue for some more.

one of the many arms of the Danube close to Cernavoda, Romania in June of 2005. the area gets flooded when it rains making it look almost like marsh land. great views.

In a BFC jungle deathmatch I'd give good odds on Marie-Angelique taking all our scalps - or pates in some cases. Death from the trees.

Vetter 33, the world strongest beer. only in Heidelberg, Germany at the Vetter Gasthaus/pub:

Image

with 33% alcohol it landed in the Guinnes World Book of records in 1994. more here:

http://www.beerpal.com/Vetter-33-Beer/18435/

it is served only in 200 ml glasses as drinking one of these is like having 3 pints of normal lager at once. it tastes like a lager but slightly caramelized, more so then Guinness. very smooth and really nice to drink too. has any of you jarheads been in Heidelberg and had one? it's really close to one of the biggest US bases in Europe.

this is what happens when you have too much of it
