A few pics from travels

Postby orangebox » Thu Jul 30, 2009 11:42 am

I've been lurking around BFC for a few months now and thought it was about time to get social, so by way of introduction here are a few photos from my flickr account.
I don't claim to have the wanderlust or experience of some of the guys n' gals on here, but my eyes have been opened and I want more. Luckily I work in a fairly easy-going job and it has the potential to get out and about a bit. I'd love to do more of Asia, revisit South America and stray farther from the gringo-trail and spend a lot longer in New Zealand enjoying the land. In the next year I plan to do a short trip to Vancouver, a 10-dayer loosely for work in Shanghai and a week motorcycling out of California if time and money allows.

So, without further ado:

Local dinner of herbal tea (not coca, but similar anti altitude-sickness properties) and vegetables
Image

We stayed with a village schoolteacher on Amantani island, who spoke mostly Quechua, despite the Spanish text on the board.
Image

I assure you, it wasn't...
