I have never had a huge desire to see TX, but the Big Bend and Alpine areas interest me a great deal. Does look like parts of eastern WA with the big basalt cliffs marching off in the distance. The Rio Grande has fallen on hard times ... I remember seeing it in NM and that bit was basically a huge dry river bed - like the riverbed in Alice Springs. I'd like to visit Austin sometime though.
